 Interview with an European Clan called  No ClanxTp: Hello, please present your Team to our readers briefly. NC|ADiTheMan: "No Clan" was originally created during the UT2003 demo. It started as a low gravity instagib clan, it switched to the normal instagib game mode later on. They were rather noobies at the start but became slowly better and better, and after a while they were suddenly one of the best clans around in UT2004. No Clan won many prizes including a gold Clanbase EuroCup in instagib UT2004, and we hope we can continue this success in Unreal Tournament III. xTp: In November 2007 Enemydown.co.uk communicated that they will organize a highly endowed UT3 tournament. How did you become attentive on it and what motivated you to participate? NC|ADiTheMan: Well, me personally knew about this tournament a long time before they announced that the team mode would be instagib 5v5 because I play some TDM nw for fun, and this news was spread around on the nw sites, which wasn’t the case in the instagib community, no one expected it to be instagib 5v5. But besides me kinda no one in NC knew about this tournament till the rumours started that they would pick instagib. Once that was announced we had a small discussion if we would go because we in NC plays igib pure for the fun, and not to win money. Some members argued that playing the wars which are +/- 42.000 euro worth wouldn’t really be a lot of fun. And we in NC obviously aren’t sponsored so we will have to pay all the costs on our own if we manage to qualify. However in the end we decided to sign up because most members wanted to go and give it a shot, we think a clan as No Clan belongs in a tournament like the ED tournament. xTp: How did you prepare for the tournament? NC|ADiTheMan: Actually our preparations for this tournaments still has to start. We are still messing around in UT3, I don’t think we played two wars with the same line-up yet. We played a few practise wars, and an official Clanbase war. But I guess we’re not the only clan round who didn’t play much till now. xTp: Which goals did you set for it? How do you estimate your chances? NC|ADiTheMan: We don’t have any goals. We’ll just play the wars, and see how far we will get in this tournament, it’s so hard to really get a good idea how good all the clans are because the game was just released. And we had a few mutations in our squad, most important one is J.O.R.D. who went inactive, he was the leader and most important player in NC for years, will be hard to fill that gap in with our new players, but we’ll do our best. I think we do have enough skill and experience to do well in this tournament. xTp: Which teams belong to your favourites? NC|ADiTheMan: As I said before, it’s hard to really get a good view on who’s good and who’s not. Especially with all the (NW TDM) clans who suddenly started playing instagib it’s impossible to tell how good they are. Some teams have really good ex-instagibbers in their clan, and really good aim based nw players who could potentially be really great instagibbers. I really can’t tell who are the favourites. But if I have to pick a clan I think I’ll go for mTw, their team will consist 4 of the best UT2004ers: Menzi. nighz, raMp and Kenny`, and two player of the normal weapons team: crush and schnig. xTp: Great thanks for this interview and have fun.
